What is Swordpunk

Since 2013 Swordpunk has been providing a relaxed inclusive environment for would be adventurers to discover a vast array of new physical arts and abilities. Including various weapon and combat styles, circus skills, traditional crafts, dance and music workshops. With an emphasis on fun and community it’s a great place to gently push the boundaries of your comfort zone (or throw yourself headlong into something new if that’s more your style).

Warm and friendly instructors will be happy to walk you through the basics during the daily sessions. The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down either. Spend your evenings chatting to old friends and new. Themed dress for the occasion is highly encouraged but not mandatory feel free to mingle amongst the vikings, medieval wanderers and troubadours in your hoodie. Although, if you do find yourself coming back (and most do), I would expect your wardrobe to grow. If only from the excellent merch available from the Swordpunk stores!

Venue

Swordpunk is hosted at a private estate in the Warwickshire countryside, in an idyllic landscape designed by Capability Brown. There are swimming and boating lakes and even a sculpture park to explore and wander through when you’re not busy honing your skills.

The Fire Show

As the flaming torches are lit and our Tavern, the Shattered Shield, opens its bar, you can sit back and relax as the evening’s entertainments begin. From dancing and duelling to the infamous Igknights striding out with weapons ablaze, the Fire Circle promises spectacle at every turn. For those eager to step beyond the crowd, there are opportunities to train, take part, and become part of the story yourself. You can never be entirely sure what to expect beyond great entertainment.

Crafting

If combats not your thing, or you’re just getting tired from all that exercise, there are other activities on offer. From Blacksmithing and Bronze & Pewter casting through Jewellery making and Leather work, to Natural Woodcraft there’s bound to be something novel for you to try,

Merry Making

We don’t just fight and play together, we party too! Stroll up to The Shattered Shield to greet and be greeted by old comrades and new friends just waiting to be made. Train, feast and play with this merry band of troubadours, warriors and reprobates before watching the spectacle of the evenings performances and dancing the night away with our resident DJs.
